Firewall concerns, answered.

The pod reports out on cellular. Your plant network never sees a byte of its traffic.

What corporate IT actually sees

Nothing. The pod has its own LTE-M modem. The foreman scans a QR with a phone, the pod shows up on the dashboard, and that is the entire integration.

What the plant network does not see

  • No VLAN request on the customer’s switch stack.
  • No firewall exception — outbound-only TLS to our cloud, nothing inbound ever opened.
  • No port opening on the corporate firewall.
  • No new subnets, no jump hosts, no DMZ work.
  • No IT tickets, no IT projects, no IT approvals on the pilot timeline.

If your IT team still asks for paperwork

Send us a line at the address below. We hand back a one-page network profile — modem vendor, APN, payload volume, and the TLS cipher list. Most teams approve it the same afternoon; the rest of the pilot stays on the maintenance crew’s calendar, not IT’s.
